Australian handmade baskets from sustainable sources

SharkChic baskets are created from sustainably harvested or collected natural materials. Many of these are sourced from discarded garden waste (e.g. bangalow palm trimmings, ornamental grapevine) or from invasive weeds (e.g. banana passionfruit, cat’s claw creeper). Other materials such as paperbark are harvested sustainably from private property in the NSW Southern Highlands area. Recently I have also been producing baskets from industrial waste products such as leather and plastic offcuts. SharkChic baskets are currently available through Grok, Neutral Bay (tel: (02) 9908 5411) or by commission.

Each basket is a hand crafted unique piece. SharkChic baskets are ideal for displaying your treasured objects, or to display as treasured objects in their own right.
